Position Summary

The casual will support the Climate School Events team across various projects, providing critical assistance in event management, programming, and organizational tasks.

Responsibilities

• Event Management & Programming Support: Assisting with the planning, coordination, and staffing of Climate School events, ensuring smooth execution of all activities. This includes pre-event promotion, organizing digital assets, and coordinating event logistics.
• Scheduling & Organizational Support: Assisting with scheduling meetings, organizing event timelines, and providing general organizational support to ensure the team’s projects run efficiently.
• Writing & Content Creation: Providing support in drafting event-related materials, communications, and updates.
• General Office Support: Providing administrative support as needed, including organizing and managing materials, assisting with event setup, and helping with daily operations.

Minimum Qualifications

• A strong customer service orientation is essential, with comfort in interacting with students, faculty, staff, and members of the public. Candidates should have proficiency in Office programs.
• Must be a Columbia University enrolled student.

Preferred Qualifications

• The ideal candidate will have an interest in environmental sciences and sustainability issues, a willingness to take initiative, and an ability to tackle challenges.
• Knowledge of social media, writing skills, and organizational abilities is strongly preferred.
