The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
 

Position Summary

The Research Assistant will contribute to the coordination of behavioral and neuroimaging studies in humans with or without psychiatric conditions. The duties include interfacing with study participants, maintaining the IRB protocol, computer programming for behavioral task design and implementations, and coordinating various studies at the lab.


Responsibilities

  • Performing online experiments (e.g., Amazon M-Turk).
  • Performing fMRI experiments with human participants.
  • Maintaining research computing platforms and data servers, running QC and MRI/behavior analysis
    pipelines.
  • Recruiting, scheduling, interviewing, and administering tasks to participants.
  • Assist in the preparation of grant submissions, IRB, and compliance.
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned/requested.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and at least one and one-half years of related experience or equivalent in education, training and experience. Knowledge of various related laboratory procedures and techniques required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Significant experience and training with regulatory procedures associated with human subject’s research.
  • Programming and data analysis skills with experience in Python, Matlab and Shell.
  • Experience working with clinical and protected populations.
  • Experience in administering behavioral, clinical, and cognitive batteries and assessments.
  • Experience in administering and developing fMRI and MRI-based tasks and protocols.
  • Experience in operating specialized research software, such as eye-tracking software (e.g., SR Research Experiment
    Builder, EyeLink Data Viewer).
  • Proficiency in using various research systems, including REDCap, OneDrive, R, and Excel, along with experience in research compliance and administrative management systems.

Other Requirements

  • Must successfully complete all online systems training requirements. 
  • Must successfully complete HIPAA related trainings.
  • Ability to perform work in a neat and orderly manner in accordance with safety regulations.
  • Ability to present experimental data to Principal Investigator.
  • Strong decision-making skills, attention to detail, and the ability to solve problems independently.
  • Team spirit, reliability, and sense of responsibility.
  • High degree of self-organization and independent work.
