The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. Position Summary

The Division of Pediatric Hematology, Oncology and Stem Cell Transplantation (SCT) at Columbia University Irving Medical Center (CUIMC) within the Integrative Therapies Program (ITP) and International Initiative for Pediatrics and Nutrition (IIPAN) is recruiting a Program Coordinator to contribute to two established programs related to clinical care and research in integrative health and nutritional global health. ITP is a groundbreaking program advancing nutrition and integrative research and care for children and adolescents with cancer and IIPAN is the global outreach program of ITP. IIPAN is a global program that is working with 32 institutions representing 19 countries. The program coordinator will be involved in several administrative and structural components of both programs, which will encompass a wide variety of tasks. The program coordinator will also be involved with the coordination and dissemination of the wellness program, which is distributed throughout al domestica and international collaborators.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the principal investigator (PI), the Project Coordinator will:

  • Develop, adopt, and implement the protocols of clinical research studies, including subject recruitment/follow-up and data collection.
  • Will assist with data collection from research associates within institution and in collaborating countries.
  • Data input in REDCap and excel databases.
  • Assist with implementation of quality control measures and organizational structure of ITP and IIPAN.
  • Be responsible for submitting all necessary documents to the institutional review board and other regulatory agencies as needed.
  • Format protocols and consents for research studies for CUIMC and collaborating institutions.
  • Provide oversight of organizing weekly meetings, ensuring minutes are taken, and reported as indicated by PI.
  • Track the progress of multiple projects and ensure all projects are adhering to the timeline.
  • Assist with preparation of annual reports, study reports and communicate findings to designated individuals.
  • Will ensure study compliance with institutional and federal regulations (i.e., HIPAA, IRB).
  • Assist with management of multiple databases related to ongoing and previous data collection.
  • Coordination of data backup and transfers between international research studies.
  • Assist with manuscript submission and the preparation and presentation of findings at conferences and meetings.
  • Contribute information, participate in media and video filming, and employee wellness program as part of ITP’s Healthy Monday Campaign.
  • Preparation of financial documents for payment to consultants.
  • Prepare agendas, arrangements, and other duties as needed for PI site travel and national/international conferences.
  • Manage data input and content for website, update as needed.
  • Manage data input and content for social media spaces, update as needed.
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned/requested.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in education and experience required; plus, three years of related experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent organization, computer literacy and communication skills.

  • Able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Fluency in Spanish beneficial; Additional languages an added plus.

  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office with excellent data management and data analysis skills are also required.
