The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
 

Position Summary

Reporting to the Department Administrator with accountability to the Vice Chair for Education/Program Director, develop and implement policies to be in compliance with ACGME/RRC guidelines such as Accreditation Data System (ADS), milestones, simulation, and others. In collaboration with the Program Director, establish annual and long-term goals for the educational programs that align with the mission of the department. Develop operational strategies, plans and programs to optimize trainee experience within the department.

Responsible for the operations and management of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Graduate Medical Education programs including a complement of 24 residents and 21 fellows (ACGME & non- ACGME).

Supervise staff in the Education Division and work to develop divisional administration to ensure they are trained, kept up-to-date and are following the requirements of their individual programs/positions.


Responsibilities

  • Supervise Education Division staff and provide on-going support to coordinators.
  • Ensure compliance with State, ACGME, Institutional and Program policies and procedures for Ob/Gyn training programs.
  • Act as liaison between trainees and GME Office and Department.
  • Conduct weekly team meetings with education division staff, overseeing and streamlining workflow, prioritizing projects, and delegating tasks.
  • Administer performance reviews/evaluations of Education Division staff and set performance-based goals and expectations
  • Develop, coordinate, and implement activities within the Education Division including new resident and fellow orientation, training, and credentialing.
  • Process Columbia Zero salary rosters and paperwork for residents and fellows.
  • Facilitate, organize, and manage reaccreditation process for ACGME-accredited programs, including preparing extensive documentation and analysis confirming compliance with all program requirements.
  • Organize residency interview process.
  • Organize Resident Sloane Olympics.
  • Provide support and assist with development of milestones evaluation tools.
  • Provide support and assist with development of the residents’ core curriculum lecture series.
  • Attend annual ACGME educational conferences and report back to program directors and coordinators.
  • Coordinate and attend several departmental events for residents, fellows and students.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Requires bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience, plus four years of related experience; Masters preferred.
