Position Summary
Reporting to the Division of Digestive & Liver Diseases Practice Administrator and Division leadership, the Practice Coordinator is primarily responsible for the day-to-day oversight of the practice operations of the Division. The coordinator will be based at the Milstein campus faculty practice site and will provide oversight of other practice locations including the Allen Hospital, the Corlear Ave Practice, East 86thStreet and ColumbiaDoctors Midtown. This includes supervising support staff, monitoring facility management, oversight of front-end revenue cycle processes, and assisting with overall practice management.
Support practice administrator in hiring, training and mentoring new staff members (medical secretaries, medical assistants etc.).
Ensure appropriate staff coverage for practice sites, oversee patient and provider workflow, and medical supply inventory where applicable. Support practice administrator in the oversight of front-end revenue cycle operations including scheduling, registration, insurance verification, referrals/authorizations & cash management.
