Position Summary

The Division of Women’s Mental Health within the Center for the Transition to Parenthood in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is seeking a Clinical Coordinator -Mental Health Provider to play a key role in our integrated, insurance-based mental health program. This position involves providing evidence-based psychotherapies, coordinating care for patients within the department, and opportunity to engage in related research activities.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong interest in women’s mental health across the lifespan and/or have experience working with perinatal populations. They will bring psychotherapy experience and function effectively as part of a collaborative team while maintaining confidence in independent decision-making and possess strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide primarily short-term psychotherapeutic (up to six months postpartum when needed) to patients across the lifespan with diverse mental health concerns. Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, monitor patient progress, and adjust interventions to meet evolving clinical needs while promoting emotional well-being and recovery.
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary team members, including administrative staff, psychology, nursing, and social work trainees, and research personnel. Contribute to quality improvement projects, workflow optimization, and the expansion of innovative clinical services within the division.
• Lead therapeutic group sessions for patients designed to address a variety of mental health concerns, facilitating discussion, skill-building, and peer support in a safe and structured environment.
• Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to psychology/behavioral health trainees. Support the development of clinical competencies through direct observation, case consultation, feedback, and guidance in evidence-based assessment, intervention, ethical practice, and professional conduct.
• Participating in peer supervision, discuss complex cases, receive and provide constructive feedback, and remain current with evidence-based therapeutic approaches and best practices in behavioral health care.
• Maintain timely and accurate medical record documentation and complete charge capture and billing activities in accordance with institutional policies, payer requirements, and regulatory standards.
• Partner with division leadership to develop and implement new initiatives and support program growth.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, institutional policies and patient safety standards.
• Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned/requested.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in education and experience, plus 3 years of experience.
• LMSW or LCSW or LMHC.
• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills to direct work, drive change and effectively collaborate.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2-4 years recent psychotherapy experience with individual supervision.
• Bilingual English/Spanish.
• OBGYN/women’s health experience preferred.
