The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
 

Position Summary

The Administrative Clerk will support the administrative functions of the Division of Surgical Science and other independent research laboratories within the department of surgery and otolaryngology, and assure an efficient, high-functioning infrastructure to support the research mission of the department.


Responsibilities

  • Support and monitor research-related transactional activities to assure compliance with University, P&S, and funding agency regulations; prepare and submit required reports.
  • Order lab and office supplies for PI’s and lab staff. Track order status and order receipt. Initiate PO requests and submit invoices for payment.
  • Coordinate maintenance for lab equipment and service contracts.
  • Maintain time and attendance records for lab staff. Track and approve requests and submission of timesheets in TLAM.
  • Manage calendar for conference room and confocal usage.
  • Assist with pre-award, post-award and close-out process of all sponsored projects
  • Update and maintain key resource documents for Division including staff directory, chart strings, vendor contact lists.
  • Coordinate with CUIMC facilities management and IT on work orders for new requests, repairs, and general maintenance needs
  • Liaise with EHS and WHS on all laboratory and compliance requirements. Schedule WHS clearance for new and existing staff as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Two years of college or equivalent business experience plus a minimum of two to three years related experience
  • Bachelor's degree desirable

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong computer proficiency Intermediate to advanced level MS Office skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of faculty and research staff
