Position Summary

The Office for Research is seeking a Variable Hours Officer (VHO) to support the data organization, cleanup, entry and quality review of the Trainee Management System (TMS). Reporting to the Project Manager, Clinical and Translational Research, the VHO will help prepare historical and current trainee, faculty, program and training data for data entry into TMS; enter and verify data, maintain organized source records, and support project tracking to ensure information is accurate, complete and consistently documented.


Responsibilities

    • Update shared project trackers and provide regular updates in team meetings.
    • Maintain data confidentiality.
      • Review, organize, and maintain source materials and working files related to historical and current trainee, faculty, training program, and training grant records.
      • Clean and standardize data using provided templates, naming conventions, and project guidelines.
      • Enter trainee, faculty, training program, and training grant into TMS accurately and efficiently.
      • Verify entered information against source materials and flag discrepancies, missing information, or data quality concerns for follow up.
      • Maintain organized records of original data, cleaned files, data entry status, and quality control notes.
      • Other responsibilities as assigned. 

Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education, training, and experience.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with data entry, data cleanup, records management, administrative coordination, or project support.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify data inconsistencies across data sources.
  • Excellent time management, prioritization, and organizational skills.
