The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
 

Position Summary

Primary job functions include identifying, screening, consenting and tracking of patients. Will coordinate data collection, including, but not limited to, radiographic imaging, patient reported outcome instruments, and physical evaluations and histories and enter data into electronic data capture programs.


Responsibilities

  • Will work closely with Pediatric Division attending’s, fellows, visiting fellows, residents, other research coordinators and the Division Leadership.
  • Will assist with hypothesis generation, protocol and med consent creation
  • IRB/IACUC submission, applying for funding, consenting participants, data collection and analysis, manuscript preparation and submission, and presentation of findings.
  • Will maintain an up-to-date knowledge of FDA, HIP AA regulations, IRB/IACUC/SPA/SPF policies and ICH-GCP guidelines.
  • Attend and participate in departmental research-related meetings.
  • In conjunction with other team members, will assist with the writing, submission, and managing of grants and other research funding in the Peds Division.
  • Works with other research coordinators to write and maintain IRBs for the Peds Division.
  • Will attend IRB informational meetings and seminars as needed.
  • Will be knowledgeable about Columbia University data security and privacy measures, including HIP AA related items, for all research activities of the Peds Division
  • Other related activities as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent organization skills, communication, and interpersonal skills, attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
  • Proficiency in Windows Operating environment and MS Word and Excel required.
  • Working knowledge of techniques and methodologies used in developing, coordinating, clinical research projects with working knowledge of database management, spreadsheet, and statistical analysis software
  • Willing to work occasional evenings and weekend hours. Capable of prioritizing, managing several projects at once, and taking responsibility for meeting deadlines.
  • Some proficiency in statistical analysis and a basic knowledge of SAS/SPSS desired.
  • Knowledge of the Columbia RASCAL system and IRB regulations, REDCap, EPIC and compliance issues is highly desired and/or special indicators if CUIMC
