Position Summary
The Department of Anesthesiology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center seeks a highly-motivated full-time Nurse Practitioner (NP) to work in the Acute Pain Management division. The Pain NP will work under direct supervision of the pain medical director to provide specialty care to acutely ill pain management patients.
Responsibilities
I. Provide direct care to acutely ill inpatient pain medicine patients through the following activities:
II. Participate in daily team rounding, periodic M&M sessions and department conferences/teaching opportunities.
III. Participate in the continuing education programs and departmental quality assurance, risk management, and compliance efforts

They will be responsible for their own patients during normal business hours and will establish and maintain on-call coverage for after hours with the assistance of the administrative director.
