Position Summary
The Division of General Obstetrics & Gynecology at Columbia University is seeking a Nurse Practitioner. The position will report to the chief of the Division and Division Administrator of General Obstetrics & Gynecology. Working closely with the physicians, this individual will lead the medical management of patients. In concert with the physicians, the NP is responsible for constructing thoughtful differential diagnoses and tailoring individualized and evidence-based treatment plans and integrates the principles of preventive medicine and patient education into all aspects of clinical care.
The Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for overseeing patient care, obtaining and reviewing medical records, and addressing clinical care concerns. Additional responsibilities may include conducting regulatory reporting and quality assurance activities, developing and assisting with the implementation of clinical protocols and procedures, and participating in initiatives to promote and enhance the experience for both patients and referring providers. A strong foundation in clinical decision-making and the ability to provide support to both clinical and non-clinical staff are required
