Arts and Sciences is the intellectual heart of Columbia University. Home to five schools, more than 1,000 faculty, 60 research centers and institutes, and 28 academic departments, we provide a transformative educational experience to more than 16,000 undergraduate, graduate, and PhD students at Columbia - nearly half the student body. Our field-defining research - anchored in the humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences - engages fundamental questions about our society and our world, and supports Columbia’s broader mission to advance knowledge, learning, and impact at the highest levels.

Some of Columbia’s most revered institutions are within Arts and Sciences: Columbia College, the School of General Studies, the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, the School of the Arts, and the School of Professional Studies. We are also home to the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, a unified faculty body that serves as a focal point for innovative teaching, curricular development, and academic governance. The Office of the Dean and Executive Vice President for Arts and Sciences coordinates these efforts, providing academic, policy, and budgetary oversight of A&S schools, faculty, departments, centers and institutes.

Assistant Director, Communications & Operations	New York	Columbia College	The Center for Undergraduate Global Engagement (UGE) seeks a dynamic, detail-oriented professional to drive our outreach, digital marketing, and data systems. Reporting to the Executive Director, this role is responsible for executing multi-channel marketing campaigns, managing data analytics and reporting systems (including Terra Dotta and Salesforce), and supporting the coordination of key events to elevate UGE’s global opportunities across the Columbia community.
Associate Director, Curriculum and Teaching for Pre-College	New York	School of Professional Studies	The Associate Director will assist with the management of the curriculum, instructors, and program creation for the Pre-College portfolio of offerings. The Associate Director will partner with program leadership to help create and drive the vision of the Pre-College Program and manage the Youth in STEM initiative.
Residence Hall Director	New York	Columbia College	Reporting to an Associate Director, this live-in position oversees community development and provides a living learning experience for undergraduate students living in one or more residence halls. Residence Hall Directors (RHDs) are professionals responsible for program development, oversight of Resident Advisers, advisement of a Hall Council and support of students living in one building. RHDs assume collateral assignments with partnered offices to offer educational programming to undergraduate students. RHDs provide crisis intervention, resolve issues, or refer as appropriate. Strong administrative and counseling skills are utilized. RHDs conduct initial investigation of alleged University and residence hall policy violations. RHDs must be able to work autonomously, demonstrate initiative, display strong commitment to student learning, communicate effectively, and work collaboratively with colleagues and partner offices across the University. This position is assigned rotational on-call duties after-hours/weekend/holiday to address any residential emergency for the entire undergraduate residential population. As an essential staff member, RHDs may be required to respond to emergencies in addition to their on-call duties.
Assistant Director of Residence Life & Housing	New York	School of General Studies	The Assistant Director of Residence Life & Housing reports directly to the Associate Director of Residence Life & Housing. Operating within the areas of Student Wellbeing and Residence Life within the School of General Studies (GS) Dean of Students Office, this role provides administrative, operational, and residential community development support for GS Housing. The Assistant Director plays a key role in managing daily housing operations as well as directly supervising a team of GS Resident Advisors (RAs) and serving as a primary point of contact for students navigating residential living concerns. Additionally, this role participates in the GS Administrator-on-Call rotation, providing critical after-hours crisis response and student support.
Assistant Director, Data Insights & Digital Engagement	New York	Columbia College	The Center for Career Education (CCE) is an innovative team of career services professionals dedicated to supporting the diverse body of students and alumni in reaching their personal and professional goals. We achieve this by providing access to networking connections, experiential learning opportunities and jobs, comprehensive resources, and customized career counseling to prepare undergraduate students for an evolving career landscape. CCE serves undergraduate students and alumni in Columbia College, The Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science, and the School of General Studies, and collaborates with Career Centers in other schools at Columbia University and its affiliated institutions.
Assistant Director, Student Support	New York	School of Professional Studies	Reporting to the Director of Student Support, the Assistant Director advances student success and wellbeing at the School of Professional Studies (SPS). The role oversees Disability Services accommodations, provides direct student support, identifies barriers to success, connects students with resources, and monitors progress toward resolution. The Assistant Director also supports the development of programs addressing interpersonal conflict and student re-enrollment, aligning services with institutional priorities around retention, accessibility, and student success.
Associate Dean, Strategy and Communications	New York	Columbia College	The Associate Dean (AD) serves as the chief brand architect and strategic communications lead for Columbia College. As a senior advisor and key thought partner to the Dean—working in close coordination with the Chief of Staff—the AD provides the vision and leadership to elevate the College’s global reputation and articulate the value of a liberal arts education in the 21st century. The AD leads an integrative team of 13 professionals across communications, marketing, editorial, and events to drive a unified, omnichannel brand strategy for the multi-school, shared undergraduate experience. This role balances high-level strategic planning with operational excellence, ensuring all activities are mission-aligned and data-driven.
Associate Dean of Student Affairs and Wellbeing	New York	School of General Studies	The Associate Dean of Student Affairs and Wellbeing is a senior member of the Dean of Students Office leadership team and serves as a strategic partner to the Dean of Students. The Associate Dean provides leadership for the School’s wellbeing and residential life functions while also supporting office-wide planning, coordination, crisis response, and operational continuity.
