The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
Position Summary
The VHO (Communications and Marketing Specialist) will work within our external affairs team to create written and video content for our social media channels and newsletters with the goal of highlighting Columbia pediatrics expertise and the impact of the care we provide in our community.
Responsibilities
- Writing monthly newsletters.
- Supporting the department’s marketing needs through the creation of Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn content.
- Work with departmental leadership and faculty supervisor to identify marketing needs.
- Create a weekly written marketing plan.
- Incorporate all feedback given by leadership and faculty advisor in a timely fashion.
- Track performance of marketing efforts and adjust strategies.
- Share performance with leadership and faculty advisor and adjust strategies as needed.
- Performs related duties & responsibilities as assigned/requested.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and experience required
Preferred Qualifications
- Two years of related experience.
- Prior experience in marketing, communications, or social media creation preferred.
