Position Summary

The Department of Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery at Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons is seeking a per diem Clinical Audiologist (VHO).


Responsibilities

  • The individual will be responsible for providing diagnostic services to a busy ENT center.
    • Diagnostics will focus on complete audiometric evaluations, including immittance and OAEs (Otoacoustic Emissions) for both adults and pediatric patients.
  • Interpret test results and provide patient counseling.
  • Document evaluations and recommendations in Epic.
  • Ensure compliance with state licensure, HIPPA and clinical protocols.
  • Participate in quality improvement and department initiatives.
  •  

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience, plus 4 years of related experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Complete audiometric evaluation, Administering and interpreting VNG testing.
  • EPIC experience.
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment, working closely with AuD and ENT Colleagues. 

Other Requirements

  • Applicant must be licensed in the State of New York as an Audiologist.
  • Doctorate of Audiology.
  • Active ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence.
  • Experience working with complex otology cases.
