Position Summary

The School of Nursing is looking to hire a variable hours officer to work under the direction of a Principal Investigator’s program of research focusing on human-centered design of health information technology.


Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: 

  • Coordinates and schedules meetings in support of research projects and investigators.
  • Assists with the preparation of research meeting materials and research-related promotional materials.
  • Conducts literature reviews.
  • Assists in creation of study database. Manages and enters collected data into study database.
  • May aid in the collection of data under supervision including consenting participants, conducting interviews, or distributing questionnaires.
  • May conduct qualitative coding and thematic analysis of study data.
  • May perform statistical analysis of research data.
  • Assists in the preparation of materials, submissions and renewals to the Institutional Review Board (IRB).
  • Assists faculty in grant and manuscript preparation.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in education and experience
  • Approximately one year of related experience.
  • Computer fluency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and basic familiarity with computer programming.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking Spanish is highly desired.
  • Previous clinical research experience is helpful.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology is helpful.
