Obstetrics and Gynecology
Position Summary
Responsibilities
• Provide direct care to patients which demonstrates clinical expertise and advanced knowledge.
• Work collaboratively with physicians to provide optimal outpatient care.
• Perform and document comprehensive medical histories, examinations, and initiate/maintain problem and medication lists.
• Assist in reviewing medical records.
• Assist in writing chemotherapy orders and compiling chemotherapy Q/A.
• Coordinate specimen drawing and handling of all STAT specimens.
• Work with specialized laboratories to arrange specimen pick-up and developing systems for timely reporting of results.
• Review all labs and in collaboration with physician; sign off on normal labs and contacting patients with abnormal results and
ensuring that appropriate follow up has been scheduled.
• Triage patient phone calls and processing prescription requests.
• Serve as the research liaison.
• Demonstrate effective organization and interpersonal skills to create a team environment and an efficient workflow.
• Mentor/train Clinical Staff, facilitate Educational and Professional Growth Opportunities
• Support other functions as assigned and appropriate to position.
