Position Summary
Reporting to the Assistant Dean, Office of Private Sector Careers, the Career Counselor provides career counseling and professional development services to students enrolled in Columbia Law School’s J.D. and LL.M programs and, as needed, alumni of the J.D. and LL.M. programs.
Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required. J.D. or master’s degree in counseling or higher education administration strongly preferred. Two to three years’ experience, preferably in a law school or legal employment environment preferred. Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills required. Computer literacy required. Experience in dealing with professional communities strongly preferred. Some evening work required.
