Position Summary
The Reshef Laboratory at the Columbia Center for Translational Immunology (CCTI) seeks a highly motivated Technician B to support translational research focused on bone marrow transplantation, CAR-T cell therapy, and cancer immunotherapy. Working under the direction of the Principal Investigator and senior laboratory staff, the incumbent will assist with laboratory experiments, animal studies, specimen processing, and general laboratory operations.
The Technician B will perform a variety of experimental procedures, including cell culture, flow cytometry, immunologic assays, and other laboratory techniques. Responsibilities also include maintaining laboratory records, organizing samples and reagents, assisting with data collection and analysis, and supporting laboratory compliance and inventory activities. The position provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a collaborative research environment while contributing to ongoing translational immunology studies.
Responsibilities
- Assist with laboratory experiments involving cell culture, immunologic assays, flow cytometry, and animal models in accordance with established protocols.
- Collect, organize, and maintain research data and experimental records.
- Assist with data analysis, quality control activities, and preparation of research reports.
- Prepare laboratory reagents, solutions, and experimental materials.
- Process and maintain biological specimens, samples, and laboratory inventories
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment in accordance with laboratory procedures and safety requirements.
- Assist in the development and optimization of laboratory procedures and experimental techniques.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with ordering laboratory supplies and reagents.
- Participate in laboratory meetings and training activities.
- Ensure compliance with institutional policies, laboratory safety requirements, and applicable research protocols.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology or physics or related science or equivalent in education, training, and experience
- Familiarity with basic laboratory procedures and sterile technique.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative research team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cell culture, flow cytometry, immunologic assays, or molecular biology techniques.
- Experience handling human specimens in a research environment.
- Experience working with mouse models is desirable.
Other Requirements
- The candidate selected for this position is required to undergo a drug screening test prior to a final offer of employment being made

- Successful completion of applicable compliance and systems training requirements
