The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
Position Summary
Facilitates the daily operations of outreach and outlying client service activities in the Pathology market area. Supports the mission, goals and objectives of Columbia University (CU). The incumbent will serve as a liaison between outreach clients, sales representative, and the department.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Schedules outreach Pathology courier activities. Troubleshoots problems related to specimens’ deliveries by courier (e.g., missing specimens, incomplete deliveries., etc.)
- Answer phone calls, emails, and inquiries between outreach practices and CU pathology laboratory for clients concerns and/or patient experience issues from office locations and work on timely resolutions.
- Maintains a client database including client demographics, practice contact information and any special needs. Utilizes Salesforce application – electronic clients database to track daily activities and specimens’ submissions.
- Schedules visits for Outreach clients providing support needed to ensure high quality service for their pathology needs.
- Assists with Outreach Laboratory QA/QC compliance process in accordance with NYS and CAP regulatory protocols.
- Procures supplies, submits requests for purchase orders. Coordinates delivery of supplies to clients.
- Serves as a resource to identify processes what may hinder the physician’s ability to use CU pathology lab as their facility of choice (including the websites updates)
- Assists on boarding new clients by providing on-site support and education. Responsible for new client start up, reviews new client protocol “client check list” Performs site visits and interactions at all outreach locations within the region and provides report and follow-up when necessary.
- In conjunction with Path LIS, provides CoPath report corrections, merging MRN’s, missing reports problem, demographics and date of service corrections.
- Perform other duties as necessary to functioning of the unit.
Responsibilities
- 40%- Clients’ services assistance via phone or email
- 15%- Coordination of outreach AP couriers' activities
- 15%- Reconciliation of PCARD purchases & invoice approval in ARC
- 15%- Supplies procurement & delivery to clients. Supports clients' needs for requisitions redesign, editing and reordering of requisitions-
- 10%- Facilitates of Outreach Laboratory QA/QC compliance process in accordance with NYS and CAP regulatory protocol
- 5%- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
- Practical knowledge and experience with CoPath, Salesforce, Epic
- Medical Technologist or HT certification/ licensing
- Working experience with Laboratory outreach services
- Must demonstrate clear understanding of Anatomic pathology technical process and workflow
