Position Summary

The Senior Associate of Student Leasing Operations oversees graduate student housing operations, managing the full housing lifecycle, executing housing policies, and ensuring compliance. This role supports housing systems and website maintenance, leads reporting and staff training, serves as a key liaison across departments, and provides direct support to residents and applicants while contributing to ongoing operational improvements.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee the comprehensive management of housing operations for graduate students
  • Manage the entire housing process from applications, assignments, reassignments, and transfers to leasing operations
  • Develop and implement housing policies and ensure compliance with those policies 
  • Troubleshoot housing-related IT systems, updating and maintaining the housing website
  • Handle special projects aimed at enhancing overall housing operations 
  • Oversee reporting mechanisms and training of staff to ensure efficient and effective housing management, fostering continuous improvement
  • Serve as a liaison among departments, institutes, and housing liaisons
  • Ensures effective communication, troubleshooting issues that arise and managing relationships to maintain smooth operations
  • Execute established housing policies, managing casework, and providing direct support to residents and applicants
  • Perform related duties and responsibilities as assigned or requested, demonstrating flexibility and responsiveness to departmental needs of the housing department and its stakeholders 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and/or its equivalent
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of related experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Hospitality, or a related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in customer service, property management, real estate, or a similar role, preferably in an academic setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for managing spreadsheets and databases
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with housing software systems and utilities management
