The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
 

Position Summary

The position will provide general research and administrative support to the Center for Hip and Knee Replacement division at the Department of Orthopedic Surgery, working with the Academic Coordinator and the Director of Research Administration. 


Responsibilities

  • Clinical research: contribute to cutting-edge research projects, from subject recruitment to data analysis.
  • Clinical observation: observe patient visits, learn from experienced physicians, and gain practical medical knowledge.
  • Education & Mentorship: participate in lectures, conferences, and journal clubs. Benefit from mentorship from renowned faculty.

This position involves significant patient interaction while working on clinical patient studies and obtaining questionnaires from pre- and post-operative patients (in hospital and by phone). The Research Project Admin will prepare follow-up schedules, enter patient data and assist with statistical analysis, tabulation, and digital graphing of clinical results.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Two years of college or a completed AA program in Biology, Chemistry, Physics or related science plus one year of related experience or the equivalent in education, training and experience.  

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous research experience is desired
  • MCAT score and/or biostatistics training highly valued

Other Requirements

  • Proficiency with PC and Mac computers
