Position Summary
The grant-funded Research Assistant (up to one year – part-time up to 15 hours per week) will support the coordination and delivery of clinical interventions for a pediatric patient population with cerebral palsy, with a focus on improving trunk control and balance.

Implement evidence-based, motor learning–focused gait training interventions using advanced robotic rehabilitation devices to support improvements in gross motor function, balance, postural control, and walking capacity in individuals with cerebral palsy.
Work closely with licensed physical therapists and research staff to deliver individualized training protocols aligned with each participant’s functional goals and clinical needs.

Collect, score, and document standardized physical therapy outcome measures, including SATCo and other motor learning and gait performance parameters, ensuring accuracy and consistency across sessions.
Enter, manage, and quality-check all participant data in the REDCap database for the TruST Project, maintaining compliance with study protocols and data integrity standards.
Assist with session preparation, equipment setup, participant scheduling, and safety monitoring during training sessions.

Provide additional research and clinical support.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors Degree required in a scientific discipline and physical therapy license preferred.
Minimum one (1) year of experience in a research environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Physical Therapy License preferred.
Minimum of 1 year of experience working on rehabilitation of children with cerebral palsy preferred.
