Position Summary
Reporting to the Assistant, Head of School, the Registered Nurse (RN) will collaborate with the Division Heads to support the health and well-being of all students. The RN will serve as a liaison between teachers, students, family, community, and healthcare providers. The RN will assess student health, provide appropriate interventions, develop and execute plans for care management, act as a first responder when necessary, and engage in promotion of public health such as disease surveillance, immunization compliance, and health education. The RN will be responsible and accountable for management during the school day of chronic and acute illnesses, injuries occurring in the school setting and school events, follow up with students and their families as necessary, and recommendations for further care and monitoring as needed. The Registered Nurse will also work closely with The School’s Medical Director and Social Worker.
Must be able to attend evening events and overnight trips.
