The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Senior Program Manager, Office of Engagement and Impact, the Project Coordinator provides administrative and operational support for development and delivery of key programming including with the Earth Networks, the Action Collaborative, and the Global Impact Lab. The incumbent will also work on curriculum development for Applied Climate courses and other trainings, workshops, or student opportunities, as well as provide support in the area of instructional design and evaluation.

In addition to OEI workstreams, the Project Coordinator will regularly support collaborations and projects with other Climate School central teams, in particular the Dean’s Office and, as needed, Communications.


Responsibilities

Administrative support:

  • Support a range of administrative processes for OEI programming and other projects with CS administrative teams, including project coordination, scheduling, tracking, and monitoring, often in collaboration with the Dean’s office and the Associate Director for Strategic Initiatives and Partnerships.

Curriculum development:

  • Contribute to the development and delivery of new trainings and/or Applied Climate curricula by supporting and documenting learning needs assessments, developing learning objectives, and contributing to course delivery and progress reporting.

Communications and Outreach:

  • Edit or complete first drafts for written communications (emails, memos, letters) to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare background research related to project development, support the development of reports, briefings, and presentations, and disseminate surveys or other feedback mechanisms.

Workshop and Event Planning:

  • Provide support for the development and execution of in-person and virtual events, meetings, workshops, and special programs, including preparing collateral materials for specific sessions, scheduling, note-taking, and organizational assistance.

Special projects and all other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and 2 - 4 years related experience
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (MS Word and PowerPoint), PowerPoint, Excel, and Google counterparts.
  • Proficiency with graphic and/or facilitation tools such as Miro, Canva, JamBoard, the Adobe suite, and similar is a plus.
  • Excellent oral, written, organizational, and interpersonal skills required, with the ability to handle confidential information with exceptional judgment and discretion necessary. Accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to detail are essential.
  • Must be able to identify priorities within multiple assignments in a high-pressure, short-deadline environment, and be able to work with diplomacy and efficiency in such an environment.
  • Must be a team player and able to effectively interact with all levels of faculty, staff, and stakeholders.
  • Must be able to work in person and remotely as needed.
  • Applicants should be highly motivated, professional, and detail-oriented.
  • A strong interest in climate, environment, and sustainability is preferred
  • An ability to solve problems quickly, creatively, and independently is an asset in this role, as well as a willingness to provide hands-on support for events and workshops in an efficient and collaborative way
  • The ability to help set up events and transport materials between venues, such as catering supplies and workshop materials.
