The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. Position Summary

The Department of Neurology is currently looking for an experienced and energetic Patient Access Coordinator – Botox. This position will assist with the day-to- day practice operations ensuring the highest level of customer service, practice support and patient confidentiality.


Responsibilities

Reporting to the Revenue Cycle Manager, the incumbent will handle the coordination of care in our very busy Botox practices in the department. This position will require the ability to travel. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Coordination of Botox care for our patients including those patients in our Movement Disorder division and Multispecialty division.
  • Ensure the schedules are secured for the patient’s appointment.
  • Obtain authorization from the patient’s insurance company and from the specialty pharmacy.
  • Coordinate delivery of Botox to the provider’s offices.
  • Ensure referrals on file for procedures.
  • Schedule Botox appointments as needed.
  • Assume and perform the responsibilities of office manager as needed for a period of time either finite or extended.
  • Answer telephone, route callers, take messages and provide routine information to callers in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Schedule patient appointments including coordination of procedures
  • Verify insurance coverage, pre-certify/authorize patient visits and procedures
  • Perform financial transactions and related functions when appropriate

Minimum Qualifications

Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent in education, training and experience.
