Position Summary

The Department of Pediatrics is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join our team in a full-time position to work within the division of Pediatric Allergy and Immunology.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive clinical care to allergy and immunology patients at the NYP/Columbia The One site in White Plains.
• Collaborate with other health care team members and referring physician to coordinate appropriate follow up care.
• Follow up on test results and investigations.
• Answer telephone calls from patients.
• Provide patient / family education.
• Work with home companies to arrange services for at home relevant therapies.
• Contribute to ongoing divisional nursing education and practice development.
• Oversee clinical operations of the nursing team.
• Work with the Clinical Director and Division Administrator to review nursing schedules and manage operational issues.
• Establish and manage the division's oral immunotherapy program (OIT).
• Participate in and lead quality improvement initiatives.
• Complying with ColumbiaDoctors billing procedures.
• Ongoing Professional Development.
• Performs related duties & responsibilities as assigned/requested.

Minimum Qualifications

• Requires Master’s degree or equivalent in education and experience, plus two years of related experience.

Other Requirements

• Current New York State NP and RN License.
• NP Board Certification.
• DEA License.
• BCLS and PALS certification.
• Able to meet New York-Presbyterian Hospital credentialing requirements.
