Position Summary
The Department of Medicine is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to work within the outpatient practice of the Cardiac Amyloidosis Program in the Center for Advance Cardiac Care (CACC) under the management of the Director of the Cardiac Amyloidosis Center within the Division of Cardiology. The NP will work collaboratively with Physicians, NP and PA peers, Registered Nurses, other members of multidisciplinary care team, and administrative support staff. The NP will render direct patient care during outpatient office hours including but not limited to obtaining patients' history, performing comprehensive and targeted physical examinations, ordering and evaluating diagnostic tests, and diagnosing/managing chronic as well as acute patient problems. The NP will also be responsible for counseling/educating patients and their caregivers on disease processes and care management as needed. The provider will be engaged in all aspects of patients' clinical care and work with other members of the care team to provide seamless care across all venues including outpatient, inpatient and clinical research venues.
