Position Summary

  • The Alfred I. duPont-Columbia University Awards program is looking for a casual employee to assist with preparations for the awards ceremony and to help organize and digitize a video and audio archive of winners. 


Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparations for the duPont awards ceremony.
  • Maintain an ongoing log of assets.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Should be familiar with news programming and current events, and have basic digital media skills, i.e can load video onto YouTube or post pictures onto Flickr or Facebook, 
  • Candidate is well organized and detail-oriented, mature and responsible, and can work independently.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with news programming.
  • Strong awareness of current events.
  • Broader digital media experience beyond basic uploading (optional higher-level interpretation).
  • Prior experience in a newsroom, media, or journalism environment (implied preference).
