Position Summary
The Office of Institutional Equity (OIE) serves as a centralized resource for addressing all reports of discrimination and discriminatory harassment, including reports that involve alleged violations of Title VI and Title VII, reports that involve alleged violations of Title IX and the University’s Gender-Based Misconduct Policy, as well as reports that relate to violations of the Protection of Minors Policy. The Office is responsible for reviewing, investigating, and managing all incidents from inception through resolution whether the Respondent is a student, faculty, staff member, or affiliate.
The Title IX Office is responsible for monitoring the University’s policies and procedures for resolving sexual and gender-based misconduct, harassment, and other complaints under Title IX. The Title IX Coordinator works to ensure a safe, welcoming, and harassment free-environment for all members – students, faculty, and staff – of the Columbia community.
To assist in meeting this objective, we are seeking a Manager of Title IX Division who will work collaboratively, as well as independently, and be required to use sound judgment when handling sensitive information. They will also engage in frequent interactions with diverse groups of employees, students, and faculty. Duties include managing events and meetings, overseeing the calendar of the Title IX Coordinator conducting research and creating briefings and reports for senior University administrators, and managing various ongoing and ad hoc projects and initiatives across the University. The Manager will coordinate Title IX accommodations for all pregnant students and facilitate accommodations beyond the scope for the Case Management Division.
The Manager of the Title IX Division reports to the Director of Operations.
