The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
 

Position Summary

Reporting to the Associate Director of Human Resources, the incumbent provides confidential administrative support, and assists with a variety of Law School human resources-related matters.  This includes, but is not limited to, administrative hiring and related paperwork and the hiring of student casuals and administrative employees. The Human Resources Coordinator will also assist with special projects as needed.  This is a temporary 10 month full-time position.


Responsibilities

  • Assists in the processing of new hire paperwork through Template-Based Hires (TBH), as well as corrective Personnel Action Forms (PAFs) as needed, for administrative staff and casual employees.
  • Assists with processing of all personnel related forms.  Assists with the welcoming and onboarding of new employees which includes uni creation, requesting email and network accounts, phone setup, ID cards, and building access.
  • Updates electronic personnel files with most current PAF, job description, and other relevant documentation.
  • Maintains and updates Law School’s Human Resources web page as well as the Law School online directory in LawNet as needed.
  • Researches and prepares all verification of employment requests for students.
  • Performs other related duties as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

High School diploma or the equivalent, plus 3 years of relevant experience. 

Strong communication skills (both oral and written), organizational and interpersonal skills required.

Comprehensive knowledge of Gmail, Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides), Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Zoom, and other similar applications, and the ability to learn new technology quickly.

Must be able to work independently, exercise discretion and judgment in matters that are sensitive and highly confidential.

Ability to manage multiple responsibilities with hanging priorities and deadlines in a high-volume environment required.

Must be able to work with diverse constituencies and support an inclusive work environment.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Some college preferred.
