The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
Position Summary
The Center for the Transition to Parenthood (CTtP) is a research-to-practice initiative drawing on decades of perinatal research, mental health expertise, and cross-sector collaborations to foster whole person, 2Gen health in the perinatal care ecosystem.
Reporting to the founder and director, Dr. Catherine Monk, the Director of Strategy and Implementation will be part of the leadership team. This DSI leader will guide the strategic vision, development, and implementation of CTtP's Blueprint for Enhancing Perinatal Care—a framework to help health care providers/professionals in the perinatal care ecosystem provide affordable, accessible mental health care, collaborate with community experts, engage fathers and partners, leverage technology and media, as well as meet health systems’ burnout with novel education and solutions.
Responsibilities
1. Oversee Blueprint Strategic Vision, Development, and Implementation
- Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy to scale the Blueprint model in alignment with CTtP's mission, in collaboration with the senior leadership team
- Monitor implementation and track alignment with strategic goals, refining priorities based on insights from partner sites and advisor feedback
- Synthesize lessons from Blueprint adoption across health systems, obstetric practices, and community organizations to inform resource development and technical assistance
2. Strategic Partnerships and Engagement for Blueprint implementation
- Collaborate with the Obstetrician Ambassadors on peer-to-peer identification of sites for collaboration, engagement, while managing the broader network of health system and community partnerships
- Advise on CTtP priorities with a strong understanding of the needs of physicians and providers and the opportunities that exist to build upon what’s working in care and support for expectant parents and families
- Lead institutional outreach and engagement efforts, partnering with the OBS Ambassadors to initiate and advance conversations with health systems, hospitals, obstetric practices, and other key stakeholders toward Blueprint adoption
- Build and sustain partnerships with healthcare systems, community organizations, funders, and professional associations
- Maintain connections with leaders advancing equitable, evidence-based perinatal care, including clinicians, administrators, community leaders, and patient advocates
3. Blueprint Communications and Materials Development
- Collaborate with the Communications and Outreach leaders to ensure all institutional-facing materials effectively engage health systems, hospitals, obstetric practices, and other Blueprint partners
- Co-develop tools, training materials, and technical resources with the Communications and Outreach leaders to enable broad, consistent Blueprint adoption across institutional perinatal care settings
- Translate data and insights on the Blueprint’s institutional impact into compelling narratives that build credibility, buy-in, and long-term support for the Blueprint
- Track, interpret, and report on institutional outcomes and organizational progress, ensuring alignment and transparency with CTtP advisors, funders, and partners
4. Center Leadership and Collaboration
- Provide senior leadership, mentorship, and strategic guidance to CTtP staff, partnering with and supporting the founder with building the core operational structures and advancing its long-term vision
- Partner closely with the Outreach and Communication leaders, who oversee web, digital, email, and community outreach, to ensure communications activities align with the CTtP's broader strategy and are rooted in impactful data and evidence
- Collaborate with the Center leadership team, clinical team, and other vendors to design and implement project plans, manage timelines, and deliver high-quality outputs
- Lead on preparation and facilitation for standing internal and external meetings
- Provide oversight to CTtP’s staff and communications team.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires bachelor’s degree or equivalent in education and experience, plus five years of related experience.
- Demonstrated success developing and implementing organizational strategy aligned with mission and goals and managing complex projects with shifting timelines.
- Expertise in building and managing relationships with healthcare providers, health system leaders, community organizations, and funders.
- Deep knowledge of the perinatal care ecosystem and delivery of care across systems, practices, and community settings.
- Ability to translate complex research into practice and communicate with clinical, community, and funding audiences.
- Effective problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills, with proficiency in tools such as Basecamp or comparable platforms for team coordination.
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills, with advanced proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office for analysis, reporting, and presentation.
- Experience with Qualtrics or comparable platforms for program evaluation, survey design, and data collection.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree.
- Experience in maternal-child health, perinatal mental health, and/or working within healthcare systems, clinical practices, or community health organizations.
- Knowledge of implementation science and research-to-practice approaches and /or background in dissemination, training, or technical assistance in healthcare systems.
- Networks across obstetric, midwifery, doula, mental health, and community-based perinatal care.
