The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
Position Summary
We are excited to welcome a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Digital Content and Events Coordinator. This role is perfect for someone with a passion for digital media, strong organizational skills, and a desire to kickstart their career in the dynamic world of content coordination. You will be a vital part of our administrative team, responsible for web content entry, social media coordination, and providing support in event coordination. Responsibilities
Digital Content Development:
- Contribute to the creation of engaging content (written and designed) for member communications, newsroom, and various social media platforms.
- Develop and deploy weekly, monthly, and quarterly newsletters.
- Support the development and execution of social media and editorial (newsroom) content calendars.
- Assist in coordinating larger projects such as photo shoots, video, and more.
Web Content Entry:
- Assist in updating and maintaining content on the organization's website.
- Perform keyword searches for search engine optimization.
Event Promotion and Coordination:
- Provide support in the planning and execution of internal and external events.
- Create and maintain promotional materials for events, including flyers and digital signage.
- Assist in coordinating logistics for events, collaborating with internal teams.
Monitoring and Reporting:
- Learn to analyze social media, newsletter, and website metrics and provide basic reports on content performance.
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned/requested.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred but all majors are encouraged to apply.
Other Requirements
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Basic understanding of digital marketing concepts and familiarity with social media platforms.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Mailchimp, Canva, and Drupal a plus.
- Detail-oriented with a keen eye for accuracy.
- Enthusiastic about digital media and content creation.
- Open to learning and taking on new challenges.
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
