Position Summary
The Coordinator is part of a team of professional staff who provide administrative and programmatic support to Law School faculty and researchers. Coordinators facilitate the teaching, scholarship, and service of full-time faculty, and support the activities of affiliated research centers and programs.
Responsibilities
Support multiple professors of law, research scholars, and/or visiting professors in preparing and executing their courses and seminars, including compiling and organizing course materials; editing syllabi and updating course websites (using CourseWorks); communicating with students; and interfacing with teaching assistants.Schedules meetings, TA sessions, and makeup classes and receives visitors.
Plans and coordinates events and programs (such as academic seminars, colloquia, special events, and conferences), arranging publicity, catering, travel arrangements, reimbursements and honoraria.
Arranges travel on behalf of faculty and visitors, plans itineraries and prepares travel and business expense reports for submission to the Business Office via Concur.
Works with faculty, students, and Office of Judicial Clerkships to prepare and send clerkship and other letters of recommendation.
Acts as liaison between professors, fellows, guest speakers, students, scholars, and other academic institutions.
Performs basic legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis and other legal software databases.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Associate Director, Faculty Support.
