Position Summary
The Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Columbia University is seeking a Clinical Coordinator/Nurse Practitioner. The position will report to the High-Risk Perinatal Practice Medical Director and Division Administrator of Maternal Fetal Medicine. The primary function is to assume responsibility for the assessment of patients in the Maternal-Fetal Medicine practice. The incumbent will be part of a team environment and should demonstrate a persona commitment to outstanding customer service. Must maintain current licensure and certification. Function under the collaborative practice agreement for delegated medical aspects of care with collaborating physician(s). Participates in nursing and health related research.
Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP).
Licensure & Certifications: Current New York State RN and NP licensure; ANCC board certification; BLS certification; DEA registration. Must maintain all required licensure and certifications throughout employment as a Nurse Practitioner in New York State.
Experience: Minimum 3 years of nursing or related experience; OB/GYN experience.
Ability to work indoors in an environmentally controlled setting with some dust, noise, and odors without undue discomfort.
Ability to perform sedentary work primarily involving sitting or standing for extended periods.
Travel between clinical sites may be required based on operational needs.
Duties routinely require exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and tissue; incumbent is expected to perform and/or assist in emergency care and/or first aid as needed.

Highly developed interpersonal skills; ability to de-escalate stressful situations.

An engaged, positive team member demonstrating collaboration, inclusion, reliability, punctuality, and adaptability—including helping peers adjust to new situations.
Strong computer proficiency, including Electronic Health Record systems, Microsoft Word and Excel, and email platforms.
Self-motivated with a positive mindset and exceptional work ethic.
High level of professionalism and maturity; ability to work independently.
