Position Summary

Columbia Dining Services is a dynamic, progressive department in an exciting, fun environment with a customer-focused culture. We have an immediate opening for a Cashier. The cashier performs routine work under immediate supervision that involves calculation, receipt and custody of cash and charge purchases.

Responsibilities

• Set up cash register with sufficient change obtained from supervisor.
• Calculate the cost of items purchased by customer and enter on register (Cash or charge).
• Collect cash and make change.  Collect cards for charge customers and scan on register.
• At the end of the shift, clear register and record the cash received and hand over cash to supervisor with bank.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management personnel.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Some experience/minimum of 6 months related experience required.
• Ability to calculate and operate cash register.
