    The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

    Reporting to the Associate Director of Communications and Marketing, the Administrative Coordinator for Communications will assist in the creation of content to support both the promotion and awareness of University Life’s work and to build the student community across the University’s 17 schools. The Coordinator will support the Communications team on a wide variety of administrative tasks and contribute to key strategic communications priorities and campaigns.


    Responsibilities

    Administrative and Project Support:

    • Assist with day-to-day administrative tasks to support the communications team’s operations.

    • Manage administrative emails, ensuring timely responses and follow-ups.

    • Organize and track project timelines, assisting with scheduling needs for complex communications initiatives.

    • Maintain team documentation, including editorial calendars and project trackers.

    Content and Newsletter Support:

    • Research and source events for weekly and monthly newsletters, ensuring students are informed of relevant programming.

    • Identify and compile resources for initiatives and projects, supporting the team’s strategic efforts.

    • Provide light proofreading and formatting assistance for digital content and reports as needed.

    • Transcribing and laying out student interviews for the web and social media.

    • Perform routine website edits to ensure the website is up-to-date.

    • Research and summarize communications trends, student engagement strategies, and best practices in digital content to enhance University Life’s outreach efforts

    Scheduling and Coordination:

    • Support calendar management for communications projects involving multiple stakeholders.

    • Assist in scheduling meetings for large-scale or cross-departmental initiatives.

    • Coordinate logistics for team meetings and interdepartmental collaborations.

    • Help pull analytics data and create reports for social media, web, and emails.

    Other duties as assigned.


    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience required.
    • 2-4 years related experience.
    • Impeccable attention to detail.
    • Excellent verbal, writing, and editing skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‐paced environment and work independently.
    • A culturally responsive professional who demonstrates the ability to communicate across differences and interpersonally with a wide range of stakeholders and can grasp differing viewpoints with humility.
    • Proficiency in social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube), and a basic understanding of Sprout and/or similar platforms.
    • A basic understanding of how to leverage newsletters, marketing materials, websites, and e-newsletters to meet strategic communications objectives.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience working in higher education or non-profit organizations a plus.
    • The right candidate is patient, solutions-oriented, and enjoys working with others to build community. 
    • Some experience with Drupal, Email marketing platforms such as Mailchimp or CiviCRM, Google Analytics, G Suite, Adobe Creative Cloud (in particular, Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop) a plus.
    • Exercises sound judgment and maintains a sense of humor and enjoys working in a dynamic environment.
    • Highly skilled in building and maintaining relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders.
    • Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, conflict management, leadership, and team-building skills, including proactive problem-solving skills.
    • A desire to contribute to an organizational process of continuous improvement and innovation.
