The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
Position Summary
The Administrative Aide (PSA) provides excellent customer service while maintaining effective working relationships with staff, students, faculty, patients, and all functional areas. This role is responsible for applicable front-end revenue cycle activities and ensures accurate data collection.
Responsibilities
- Reviews assigned student rosters to ensure scheduling efficiency.
- Reconciles patient accounts and establishes payment plans.
- Processes refunds, adjustments, and missing charge resolutions.
- informs providers and assigned faculty of deficiencies.
- Promotes teamwork, accountability, and continuous process improvement.
- Escalates issues appropriately and advises management on clinic operations.
- Participates in professional development and performs other duties as assigned.
- Meets regulatory requirements mandated, including but not limited to Article 28 awareness, HIPAA compliance training, and all CU, CUMC and CDM training programs.
- Ensures that patients, students, residents, faculty, other staff, and managers are treated with respect and courtesy.
- Promotes the culture of teamwork, commitment and accountability.
- Provides recommendations for process improvement.
- Assumes responsibility for self-development.
- Comply with all applicable Art. 28, HIPAA, billing compliance and safety policies and guidelines.
- Escalates issues appropriately and advises the Manager on matters related to effective clinic operations.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree plus two to three years of related experience or equivalent in education and/or business experience.
- More advance skills required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with dental insurance billing, collections, and eligibility, including managed care, government, and self-pay reimbursement processes and their operational impact.
Other Requirements
- Able to build relationships and interact with diverse groups of individuals at all levels through influence and persuasion.
- Able to meet deadlines, work under pressure, and undertake multiple tasks as required.
- Requires strong communication (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of EHR and electronic scheduling systems.
- Knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel). Bilingual English/Spanish.
