Position Summary
Reporting to the Associate Director, the Assistant Director serves as a key member of the Recruitment & Yield team within the Admissions department, to meet targeted enrollment goals for the School’s MBA, Executive MBA, Specialized Masters, PhD, and Deferred Enrollment programs, other future degree programs of the School, and the Mendelson Center for Undergraduate Business Initiatives. The incumbent will assist in coordinating the admissions process to enroll a high-quality, diverse student body that enhances the community and reputation of Columbia Business School.

Responsibilities
Student Recruitment & Yield Activities
Support the on-campus, virtual, and on the road recruitment and yield efforts for prospective and admitted students. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
Conduct individual and small group meetings with candidates to ensure they have the guidance and support needed to apply.
Event Coordination and Marketing
Promote and market the School’s degree programs. Gain a thorough understanding of our programs. Represent the Columbia Business School brand and programs at events on campus, virtually, and on the road, and in written communication with prospective and admitted students.
Deliver presentations, host receptions, and participate in other general activities as needed.
Manage events and communications in Slate.
Application Review & Admissions Committee
Read and evaluate applications, conduct interviews, and serve as a member of the Admissions Committee.
Relationship Management & Stakeholder Engagement
Cultivate and maintain relationships with faculty, administrators, current students, alumni and solicit their participation in Admissions recruiting and yield events. Serve as a point of contact for the approximately 200 admissions ambassadors in the Hermes Society.
Technology and Tools
Use tools such as MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and Slate to manage the admissions and recruitment process. Leverage basic data analytics to support decision-making and improve the efficiency of admissions communication.
Perform other relevant duties as needed and assigned.
