The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
Position Summary
The Cancer Cytogenetics Laboratory in the Department of Pathology and Cell Biology is looking for an individual with experience in cancer cytogenetics for a part-time temporary position starting immediately. This individual will be expected to perform karyotype and FISH analysis and/or wet lab bench work.
Responsibilities
- 50% - Sample processing from set up to slide preparation.
- 45% - Perform chromosome analysis and FISH analysis on hematologic and paraffin-embedded tissue cancer specimens.
- 5% - Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a biological science
- New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist licensure from the New York Dept of Education
