The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

  • Colleting demographic and laboratory data
  • Participating in consenting patients
  • Participating in digital pathology annotations and organizing transcriptomic analyses

Responsibilities

  • 30%: Research collecting data, recordkeeping and file maintenance
  • 10%: Maintaining and organizing lab notebook or records related to task
  • 25%: Perform simple experiments including ELISA and annotating digitally scanned images
  • 20%: Perform simple preliminary statistics to guide the experiments
  • 15%: consenting patients to be enrolled in study
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Two years of college or a completed A.A. program with an emphasis in chemistry, biology, physics or related field or a completed animal husbandry program
  •  One year of related experience, or equivalent in education, training and experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Complement of 4 years college
  • Expertise in R program in statistics
  • Previous research experience as a research assistant in a laboratory
  • Experience working with patients (specifically in consenting patients)
  • Expertise in Microsoft office (specifically excel)
