The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
 

Position Summary

The Technician B will support an ongoing international research study focused on exceptional longevity. Under the direction of the study investigators and research team, the incumbent will assist with participant recruitment, scheduling, data collection, data management, and study administration. The position also involves obtaining medical documentation, supporting research operations, and contributing to scholarly activities, including scientific presentations and publications. This role requires strong organizational, communication, and data-management skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with study participants, investigators, and research staff.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and schedule research study visits with participants and study staff in accordance with study protocols and timelines.
  • Collect research data from participants through telephone and in-person study visits using established study procedures and data collection instruments.
  • Score study assessments and accurately enter research data into designated databases and systems, following established data management and quality-control procedures.
  • Provide research and administrative support to study staff and assist with other study-related activities necessary to support the timely completion of research objectives.
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned/requested.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology or physics or a completed animal husbandry program or equivalent in education, training and experience.
  • Knowledge of various related laboratory procedures and techniques preferred. One year of related experience preferred.
