Position Summary

The Department of Surgery is seeking a Short-Term Casual (Non-Student). The incumbent will gain hands-on experience in clinical research, data analysis, literature reviews, and multidisciplinary collaboration in a fast-paced academic environment.


Responsibilities

  • Scan documents into the electronic medical record.
  • Obtain signatures for essential documents.
  • Assist with maintaining central files, data tracking systems, and ad hoc reports.
  • Assist in the organization of supplies received for clinical trials.
  • Scheduling testing and appointments as directed.
  • Assist with organizing clinical research data and data collection/entry to institutional systems (velos/study manager).
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum education:

  • High School student in good standing

Other Requirements

Qualifications for Candidates include but are not limited to the following:

  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously with accuracy
  • Excellent attention to detail and proactive follow-through of assigned projects
  • Thorough knowledge of MS Excel
  • Ability to keep records in an orderly fashion
  • Good organizational skills
