Position Summary

The Department of Surgery is looking  for Short Term Casual (Non-Student). Incumbent will perform multiple assignments under direct supervision.


Responsibilities

  • Extract data from the medical record and record it in appropriate databases.
  • Complete data entry activities with supervision and support as needed.
  • Save documentation for research studies and file them in an organized manner.
  • Meet with research team members and investigators to provide updates on projects.
  • Assist research coordinators with tasks as needed to support study activities.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School graduate or equivalency certificate, technical training or equivalency, and some related laboratory experience, usually six months.


Other Requirements

  • Intermediate to advanced level MS Office skills.
  • Familiarity with clinical trial workflow and general medical terminology
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously with accuracy
  • Excellent attention to detail and proactive follow-through of assigned projects
  • Thorough knowledge of MS Excel
  • Ability to keep records in an orderly fashion
  • Ability understand and adhere to compliance policies
  • Ability to respectfully and effectively communicate with patients, staff, and faculty
