Position Summary
Reporting to the Director of Admissions Operations in the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences (GSAS), the Associate Director of Admissions Operations serves as the operational leader for day-to-day admissions decision processes and operational workflows. This role is responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of admissions decisions and for overseeing data integrity and compliance-related processes across all programs. The incumbent exercises significant independent judgment and acts as a close partner to the Director of Admissions Operations.

| Assistant Director of Admissions | New York | Reporting to the Associate Director of Admissions, the Assistant Director of Admissions supports the execution of recruitment, admissions, and enrollment management activities designed to meet enrollment goals and enroll a high-quality, diverse student body that enhances the reputation of the School of International and Public Affairs. The Assistant Director serves as a key member of the Admissions team and is responsible for supporting prospective student outreach, application review, and recruitment event coordination for the School’s graduate programs. The incumbent counsels prospective applicants throughout the admissions process, manages prospect inquiries, participates in recruitment travel and virtual programming, and evaluates applications as a member of the Admissions Committee. The Assistant Director coordinates class visit programming and assists with planning and execution of recruitment and yield events, including Admitted Students’ Day and virtual engagement initiatives. The incumbent may also support relationship management and collaborative programming efforts with Alumni Affairs to strengthen prospective and admitted student engagement. The Assistant Director works collaboratively with Admissions and Financial Aid staff, faculty, alumni, student ambassadors, and other School administrators to support enrollment objectives and deliver a high level of customer service to prospective students and applicants. The incumbent also assists with Slate CRM operations, reporting, and communications efforts and may guide graduate assistants and temporary staff as needed. | |
| Advising Dean | New York | The Advising Dean of Preprofessional Advising provides advising to CC/SEAS undergraduates and alumni in their preparation for and application to graduate programs in the health professions (medical school, dental school, veterinary school, etc), law school, and business school. The Preprofessional Advising Dean serves as a supplemental advisor to all students interested in these pathways from first year through alumni. They guide students to resources to help them to explore these paths, develop and deliver programming related to preparing for selective application processes, liaise with CSA advising deans and faculty regarding individual student issues, and represent the office to internal and external constituencies. | |
