The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
 

Position Summary

Reporting to the Vice Dean for Education in the College of Dental Medicine, the Administrative Assistant provides high level clerical, administrative, financial and organizational support for Office of Education. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:


Responsibilities

Student Affairs Support

  • Provide administrative support to Senior Leadership in the Office of Education with meeting coordination, calendar and conference room management, and communications.
  • Process travel, business expenses, and dues reimbursements in accordance with institutional policies and procedures.
  • Handle monthly reconciliation.
  • Handle purchasing and ordering of office supplies, materials, and services to support departmental and student activities.
  • Support daily office operations by maintaining records, assisting with event logistics, and responding to student and staff administrative needs.
  • Prepare agenda and appropriate correspondence
  • Provides administrative support consisting of generating letters and other correspondence that deal with confidential information and requires discrete handling and tact.
  • Interacting with various University departments and offices, as well as with individuals outside the University.
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned/requested.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent in education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 software, including Teams, OneNote, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong time management skills, including the ability to multitask, highly organized, detail oriented and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Well-developed level of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly and accurately in a pleasant, courteous manner with both internal and external contacts.
