Nurse Practitioner-Same Day Access	New York	Reporting to the Associate Director of Same Day Access, the Nurse Practitioner will provide direct patient care of the highest standard for students with acute and non-acute concerns requiring same-day attention from Columbia Health Medical Services. As a core member of the Same-Day Access team, this position independently evaluates, diagnoses, and manages a broad range of acute and episodic medical conditions in a fast-paced ambulatory setting. The position requires strong clinical judgment and the ability to assess patient acuity, initiate appropriate diagnostic and treatment interventions, and determine when a patient requires a higher level of care, including referral or transfer to specialty, urgent care, or emergency services. This position works collaboratively with physicians, nurse practitioners, nursing staff, and other members of the Medical Services team to facilitate timely access to care, effective clinical decision-making, efficient patient flow, and appropriate coordination and follow-up care. The incumbent also serves as a clinical resource to nursing staff in the triage and management of patients presenting with medical concerns. This role functions with a high degree of clinical independence and accountability while maintaining timely and accurate clinical documentation, and practicing in accordance with Columbia Health policies and procedures, established clinical protocols, professional standards, and applicable regulatory and accrediting body.

The Associate Director oversees medical providers caring for students presenting with acute, episodic, and time-sensitive primary care concerns. The incumbent serves as a key clinical liaison between the Same-Day Access team and senior leadership of Medical Services on clinically based issues. The Associate Director facilitates effective communication, coordination, and integration of care and promotes the consistent, efficient, and safe delivery of clinical care. The Associate Director supports Medical Services strategic initiatives, provides clinical leadership, consultation, and staff development, and promotes alignment of Same-Day Access with broader Medical Services clinical and organizational priorities to ensure high-quality clinical care. The Associate Director maintains an active clinical practice as a physician and provides direct patient care as a member of the Same-Day Access Care team. The incumbent independently evaluates, diagnoses, and manages acute and time-sensitive medical conditions and serves as a clinical resource to physicians, Nurse Practitioners, nursing staff, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team, including consultation regarding complex or higher-acuity clinical presentations. The Associate Director serves as the designated authority for Same-Day Access in the absence of the Director, Clinical Services & Training, providing continuity of clinical leadership, decision-making, and oversight for the functional area. Primary Care Nurse III (RN)	Other NYC Locations	Columbia Primary Care at Columbia University Irving Medical Center (CUIMC) is seeking a Primary Care Nurse III (RN) to join our team. The Primary Care Nurse III will report directly to the Practice Manager or Director of Nursing, Columbia Primary Care. This ambulatory nursing position will serve as a key member of the patient care team to support the pediatric and/or adult populations we serve. The Primary Care Nurse III performs nursing duties consistent with NYS nursing scope of practice related to the support of the day-to-day clinical operations of the assigned practice. These duties include, but are not limited to, medication/immunization administration, point of care testing (POCT), clinical information abstraction, oversight of the practice(s)' infection prevention and control procedures, and patient education that can be in person, via our patient portal, or by phone. This experienced RN will perform telephonic, electronic, and in-person nursing assessments consistent with the NYS nursing scope of practice. The Primary Care Nurse III will participate in or lead population health initiatives within Columbia Primary Care and the wider ColumbiaDoctors organization to address health care gaps and promote positive health outcomes for patients. At this senior level, the Primary Care Nurse III may be asked to travel to all Columbia Primary Care sites to train staff or review processes with staff, providers, and managers. This position will work closely with multiple providers as well as other clinical and administrative staff to deliver an excellent patient experience that contributes to positive health outcomes for patients and a work culture of kindness, collaboration, integrity, accountability, and excellence.
