Position Summary

The Variable Hours Officer will work under the supervision of Tian Gu in the Department of Biostatistics to support ongoing research. The successful applicant will assist in the development and detailed review of all reports, execute programming according to statistical analysis plans and statistical requests. Performs additional related duties as assigned. 

Responsibilities

• • Assist in the development and detailed review of project reports and documentation. 30%
  • Implement and refine the benchmark models, such as MIRAI deep learning model for breast cancer risk prediction using mammogram data. 25%
  • Develop, test, and evaluate diffusion models to generate or augment mammographic data for synthetic data modeling. 25%
  • Utilize high-performance computing resources to train and scale deep learning models efficiently; support model optimization and debugging in HPC environments. 10%
  • Perform additional related duties, including data preprocessing, code versioning, and internal presentations as assigned. 10%

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience, plus five years of related experience
