Position Summary

Reporting to the Principal Investigator (PI) Yuval Neria, Ph.D., the VHO interventionists role is to deliver manualized treatment with either acceptance and mindfulness based therapy (AMBET) or present centered therapy (PCT) over 8-12 weekly sessions.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, delivery of the treatment protocol via remote video service, clinical assessments, and study documentation. Incumbents will be trained in AMBET or PCT by PTSD expert and licensed psychologist Dr. Maja Bergman, and will be directly supervised by Dr. Bergman. All study activities will be conducted remotely via Zoom.


Responsibilities

  • Direct delivery of treatment protocol to 1-4 patients and clinical assessment of 0-2 patients per week. 60%
  • Attend weekly supervision and case presentations to ensure adherence to protocol and good clinical care. 20%
  • Coordination and collaboration with study staff (independent evaluators, research coordinator).10%
  • Performs related tasks and duties as assigned/requested. 10%

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology or related field or equivalent in education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least two years of training in a graduate level program in Psychology, Social Work, or related field.
  • Experience with clinical trials research.
  • Experience with PTSD population.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Highly organized with good attention to detail in scheduling and written communication. 

Other Requirements

  • Must successfully complete all online systems training required.
