Position Summary

The Technician B will work closely with the PI and research team in the Basic Science Research Group in the Division of Surgical Science at Department of Surgery at Columbia University. The Technician B will perform multiple assignments under direct supervision.

Responsibilities

Assisting with the designing and implementing of experiments critical to the lab, which may include molecular cloning, animal work, Western blotting, Immunohisochemistry analysis.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or one year of related field or equivalent combination of education, training and experience

Other Requirements

• One year of related experience, or equivalent in education, training and experience
• Knowledge of related laboratory procedures and techniques
• Excellent organization skills
• Self-motivated and able to work in a team environment
• Ability to learn and perform a variety of new techniques
