Position Summary

The Department of Pediatrics is seeking a Technician B to join our team in a full-time position to support research within the division of Pediatric Cardiology. Responsibilities

• The Technician B will work both independently and sometimes under the direct supervision of the Principal Investigator on various aspects of running, assisting with managing and writing results of basic.
• Investigate the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying cardiovascular development and regeneration. 
• Using the zebrafish as a model system and expand our studies into the fields of transcriptional regulation, cardiac mechanobiology, and stem cell biology. 
• Will use innovative combination of genetic, live-imaging, single cell genomic, and transgenic approaches. 
• Daily attention to zebrafish husbandry, line maintenance, genotyping, and laboratory management strategies is also required.
• Will collaboratively with the Technician A and other members in the lab.
• Performs related duties & responsibilities as assigned/requested.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology or physics or a completed animal husbandry program or equivalent in education, training and experience. Knowledge of various related laboratory procedures and techniques preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• One year of related experience preferred.
